Well, it’s now the end of the blog tour for my book Holding Out For Skye. I had a great time and didn’t want it to end but sadly, all things must come to an end. Why must they? It would be so cool if everything fun lasted forever, right? 🙂
I want to thank Anna and her blog Read Between The Lines for the amazing blog tour she hosted for me. She did a wonderful job and I have nothing but praise for her.
I also want to say a big thanks to the blogs who agreed to be hosts for my blog tour and who so graciously included a post for my book in their wonderful blogs: Read Between The Lines; Books With Leti Del Mar; Deal Sharing Aunt; Fabulous and Fun; Crazy Beautiful Reviews; Indy Book Fairy; Crystal’s Random Thoughts; Cajun Book Lover; Harlie’s Books & Pretty Little Pages
Here are four of the awesome reviews my book received, quoted from the following blogs:

“Holding Out for Skye was an innocent and fulfilling romance. In this story you get the intimacy of a real romance that is completely simple and easy although there are things that the characters have to work through. I really enjoyed this story. The characters are lovable and the storyline is endearing. In this book you get to see the Skye develop and come into her own and her ability to reach out an except love from Cian. This love story makes you believe in real love and the ability to grasp the love from a real soulmate and watch it develop into something so beautiful words could not describe it. This love story is innocent, pure and the simplicity of it is calming. My recommendation:
I rated this book 4 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts and would recommend this book to anyone that loves an innocent love story.”

“4.5 Star Review
In this funny and sweet romance we meet Skye and Cian. Orphaned as a young child Skye has grown up in foster care, after graduation she made a life for herself, landed a great job and has a few close friends. Life is great until she get to work and finds that the biggest pain she has ever met is in her group. Can he convince her that he is a good guy and he thinks they were meant to be?
You will have to read this funny story yourself to find out!
I really enjoyed this story, I hope Ms. McKade uses some of the other characters to give us a spin off, I would definitely love to read more about this crew!”

What a fresh take on the enemies to lovers and work romances tropes. This one had me laughing out loud and loving every minute Cian and Skye were on the page. Talk about some the snarkiest, funniest but at the same time loving dialogue that I’ve read in a while. Yes, during all the “fight” scenes you could see that Cian and Skye were falling in love.
Skye finally was in a place in her life where she thought that she had it all. More money, better job and a great apartment. She was set until she learned that she had to work with Cian. Let me backup a bit…Cian, Skye, Thea and Nick all went to college together. Skye wasn’t all that nice to Cian and saw him as a threat in everything. Imagine her surprise when she got to her new job and those three were staring right at her and she had to work with them?
Ms. McKade has written a wonderful book about relationships that on the surface seem a bit tedious at best but underneath all that was truly a love story about two people who were right for each other from the start. Cian had been in love with Skye from the beginning but never let on so he was thrilled when he got the chance to actually work with her as an adult.
I loved this book. I didn’t have to wait for the hero and heroine to get together but this is a sweet romance. No sex in it and truthfully, it would have ruined the book. For me, Cian and Skye had to really get to know each other first and yes, would I have liked some action…sure but again, maybe Ms. McKade could revisit the characters. Hint hint! 😉
Ms. McKade again…you really must read Skye and Cian’s story. It will make you smile, laugh and really hope that true love will prevail.”

“Rating 5 Stars:
Can Skye be my best friend who comes over at midnight randomly for binging on food, gossiping, and crappy reality TV show marathons? I loved this character. S.R. McKade adds such personality to her writing that you can’t help but be completely engaged by her story.
S.R. McKade wrote a fantastic cast of characters. She’s so talented at not only showcasing the romance between Skye and Cian but also devoting time to secondary characters and developing them. It really gave me a chance to fully appreciate all of the characters in Holding Out for Skye. There is enough romance in this book to satiate the needs of any romance fanatic!
Instead of focusing on the chase, this book focuses on the budding relationship between Skye and Cian. It was a nice break from the slowburn romances that I’ve picked up lately. Getting to witness their bickering and growing together as a couple was very sweet and enjoyable. I felt like Cian and Skye were a perfect match, and I loved seeing their romance unfold.
S.R. McKade has such beautiful writing. The story really leaps off of the pages and draws you into it as it goes along. All of the elements of Holding Out for Skye blend together seamlessly into a stunning piece of literature. I cannot wait to read more from this author!
Romance fans, you have to pick up Holding Out for Skye. It’ll be your next favorite!”
